Friday Fun Day (Otherwise Known as Black Friday)

25 Nov

Hey there! How was everyone’s Thanksgiving?

I hope it was full of family and food, lots and lots of food. Mine certainly was and for that I’m grateful.

I’ll be back to the regular posting schedule next week. For now, I’m taking a few days to watch my favorite Christmas movies (Miracle on 34th Street last night – love! And how great is Susan’s apartment, by the way?), spend time with family and start thinking about my Christmas decorating (expect many more posts on that subject!)

And then there’s the Christmas shopping.

For some of you crazies enthusiastic shoppers who were out at midnight in the Black Friday madness, how was it? What did you find?

I’ve never gotten into the Black Friday spectacle, but if you’ve read this blog for half a second, you know I enjoy a bargain. Any tips? Killer deals? Places to avoid? I’m heading out soon to see what’s left over from this morning’s rush.

I’ll be on the lookout for good home decor deals and I’ll report back.

And, for my Memphis readers, be sure to check out the Commercial Appeal today. The Nineteenth Century Club is holding an estate sale Dec. 3-6. I might have squealed a little when I read it. Antiques for sale in a 100-year-old mansion? Yes and yes.

If you’re out and about, remember to keep your cool, unlike these people. Christmas shopping is supposed to be fun! If you get stressed out, challenge yourself to find something pretty around you. I promise you’ll find way more than one thing.

Happy shopping!
