Daylights Savings Time and Coffee Love

12 Mar

So how’s Daylight Savings Time treating you?

I love having more hours of sunlight in the day (and a reminder that summer is on its way!), but oh man, I could have used that extra hour this weekend.

I was on a quick business trip this weekend and between over-booked flights, early mornings and late nights, the weekend flew by and Monday morning has come way. too. fast.

I’m grateful for the simple ritual of morning coffee on days like this. I’ve only been drinking coffee for about a year (before that, I couldn’t stand the taste), but now I look forward to a cup every morning.

There’s just something calming about holding a warm cup of coffee, even if it’s at your desk (and your outfit isn’t as cute as the girl in the photo above).

When I’m home on the weekends, I love snuggling up with a cute coffee mug and a warm blanket.

I’ve been looking at living room couches lately (so fun!) and can’t help running each by the coffee test. Could I curl up with a cup of coffee and Sunday Morning on this couch? If not, it’s not going to work. (I haven’t found one yet, but I’ll keep you posted!)

In fact, coffee decor is a pretty great way to judge any room. If you wouldn’t feel comfortable curling up there, what’s the point?

Do you drink coffee in the morning? Are you a Starbucks regular or more of a home-brewed girl? I’m currently loving a local Memphis brand, Ugly Mug. Love that it’s local and yummy.

If you’re looking for a cute coaster for that cup of joe, check out these easy (and cheap!) tile coasters.

There are my random thoughts for this Monday – what are yours? Let’s talk in the comments.
