There are certain things that make me happy.
A cup of coffee and my Google Reader are two of those things. Curling up and clicking on all of the pretty that comes from the home bloggers I follow puts a smile on my face. And coffee (in a pretty mug) just makes the whole thing a bit cozier.
But love of the home blog world is only part of the reason I started this blog.
Having this blog combines my two loves – writing and creating pretty. No, not the slap some lipstick on pretty (although I have recently discovered a major love for NARS lipstick).
I’m talking environment, the space that defines you, your home. Whether you rent a room or own an estate, your home should be your base, your favorite place and a pretty space that gives you a great big hug when you walk inside.
And – contrary to what some of the shelter magazines will tell you – you don’t need a trust fund to create a space that makes you giddy. (Yes giddy. Happy little jig is optional, but encouraged.)
You just need to know what makes you happy, have a commitment to keeping what doesn’t make you happy out of your home (and here’s where we could turn into a relationship blog, but I digress…) and a few tips along the way to bring it all together.
We all have the power to make every day pretty.
I’d love to hear from you! Email me at everydaypretty@gmail.com.
Yay! I’m glad this blog exists–will add to my own personal blog to give you some love. I look forward to your posts:)
Thanks! And ditto!
